A message from daa’s CEO
At daa, we are proud of our purpose to ‘enable businesses and connect lives across the world’. Our airports connect families and friends, support communities, enable business, and drive Ireland’s economic growth. As we look to the future, we are conscious that we face important challenges: how do we continue to deliver vital connectivity and growth for Ireland while also ensuring that we lead the way in sustainable airport practices, reduce our impact on the environment, and strengthen our focus on our people and the communities that we serve.
These are challenges that we are committed to addressing head-on.
Our new ESG strategy 2024-2030 sets out the roadmap and action plan for how we will achieve this over the next seven years, anchored in three key pillars:
• Climate and Environment:
• Community and People; and
• Good Practices
I encourage you to join us on this journey and to hold us accountable as we deliver on our plans. Together we can deliver long-term value for everyone, and a world that we are proud to pass on to future generations.
daa’s ESG Strategy 2024 – 2030
Our 2021-2023 ESG strategy laid a solid foundation by addressing immediate post-COVID-19 challenges and setting the stage for sustainable growth. However, with the rapid evolution of environmental and social expectations, there’s a need for a more comprehensive, long-term plan.
Our 2024-2030 ESG strategy expands daa’s ESG and sustainability efforts over a longer horizon, ensuring alignment with national and international commitments, including the National Climate Action Plan 2024, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the UN Global Compact. This strategy is designed to ensure our position as an ESG leader, meeting both current and future challenges while making a positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy. This strategy will guide daa through the next decade, ensuring sustained progress toward its long-term ESG goals.
We built on our previous commitments and also considered the actions of our peers, industry standards and best practice. We have set new, ambitious objectives to ensure that we continue momentum, and the that we can contribute positively to the environment, society, and the economy.
The development of the 2024-2030 ESG strategy sets long-term sustainability goals and ensures compliance with upcoming regulatory requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
By embedding robust ESG practices and setting measurable targets, we will ensure transparency and accountability to stakeholders. We will publicly report on our progress in our Annual Report and at our updated Interim Periods of 2026 and 2028. This new ESG Strategy will serve as a live strategy document and be reviewed and updated over time.
