DAA Teams Up With IDA In Job Promotion Campaign

December 23, 2013

DAA and IDA Ireland have teamed up to highlight over 1,000 available opportunities from companies in Ireland aimed at those returning home for Christmas.

With an estimated 660,000 passengers expected to travel through Dublin Airport over the course of the Christmas season, IDA Ireland  has today launched a campaign on its Instagram account to profile a selection of job available across a selection of industries in Ireland.

The social media based initiative follows the launch of IDA Ireland’s successful US marketing campaign which reminds investors of What Makes Ireland Great?

DAA will be supporting the campaign throughout the holiday season by featuring it on the company’s airport-based digital signage and range of social media accounts.

“DAA is delighted to support this initiative to highlight the vacancies that are currently available for high-skilled workers in a range of sectors. Every Christmas, Dublin Airport welcomes home many thousands of Irish emigrants and this year we’ll be using our various social media channels, our website and digital signs at the airport to promote the fact that there are jobs at home in certain sectors,” said Kevin Toland, Chief Executive DAA.

Said Barry O’Leary, Chief Executive IDA Ireland, “This Christmas, thousands of talented Irish people will return to their friends and family from abroad. IDA Ireland has been working hard to expand the number of multinationals locating here. I would urge anyone thinking about returning to Ireland to take a look at this IDA Ireland list, and apply for a job with one of our client companies. There are roles available across the country in some of the world’s best companies.”

The list of available positions comes from a selection of the IDA’s clients across a number of sectors including technology, life sciences and financial services amongst others.
