Statement Re Ryanair Response To Air Travel Tax Change

October 16, 2013

Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) welcomes Ryanair’s statement that it intends to grow its passenger traffic at Irish airports in the wake of the Government’s decision to reduce the air travel tax to zero from next April.

“We are fully supportive of any airline that plans to grow in the Irish market,” a DAA spokesman said. “Passenger traffic is already growing at Dublin Airport, which has added an extra one million passengers over the past 12 months, and we also expect a return to growth at Cork Airport in 2014,” he added.
